Poached Egg

Egg - 1 or 2 (put eggs one by one)
Vinegar - 2 tbsp
Water - 3 cups
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

1. Boil water in a deep pan. When small bubbles start, add vinegar (optional). Vinegar helps to coagulate the protiens in the egg thus forming it together to make a nice and perfect poached egg.
2. Break the egg into a small bowl. It should not scramble.
3. Once the water boils with small bubbles, gently slide the egg from the bowl to the boiling water.
4. Gently merge the sides of the egg with a slotted spoon (spoon with holes).
5. After 2 minutes, gently take it out from the water.
6. If you want the egg yolk gooey, take out from the water just when u see that the egg white is cooked. Or else let it be in the boiling water for some more time ie for 3 to 4 minutes.
7. I took it out after 3 to 4 minutes and my egg yolk was little done and not gooey as my kids and my husband doesnt like gooey yolks.
8. Sprinkle some salt and pepper and serve hot.
9. A tasty and healthy egg preparation.
