Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients

Gelatin - 2 tsp
Water - 3 tbsp
Egg yolks of 4 eggs
Milk (boiled and cooled to normal temperature) - 1 cup
Sugar - 6 tbsp
Salt - a pinch
Coco powder - 2 tbsp
Maida - 1 tsp
Milk (cooled) - 1/4 cup
Egg whites of 4 eggs
Sugar - 4 tbsp
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp

Method

1. Dissolve gelatin in 3 tbsp water. Keep this aside.
2. Beat egg yolks and add milk, sugar and salt. Beat this well with a hand mixer.
3. Cook this by using double boiler method till this thickens like a custard.
4. Mix cooled milk, maida and coco powder so that no lumps are formed.
5. Then add this to the cooking mixture. Mix well.
6. In the mean time put the gelatin mix in a microwave (high) for 50 seconds. Or place the bowl with the gelatin mix in hot water, so that it completely dissolves.
7. Mix the dissolved gelatin into the cooking mixture. Mix well and when it becomes the consistancy of a custard, take if off from heat and let it cool.
8. Beat egg white with 4 tbsp sugar and vanilla essence. Beat well.
9. When the mousse mixture cools, add the egg white mixture into it and mix lightly so that it mixes properly. Dont mix it hard.
10. Pour it in separate bowls and serve it with nuts or whipping cream.
