Chatpate Aloo

This chat is spicy, sweet and tangy. I cannot tell you the exact taste of this dish... A must try chat. Though this is dish is not healthy, once in a while treat your taste buds with different flavours.

Nothing much to tell about this dish. Try it out and let me know.


5 - 6 Potatoes (cut into big cubes)
Oil for deep frying
Chat Masala as required
Chat Ki Chutney as required

  • Heat oil in a kadai. Deep fry the potatoes in medium flame. When it turns golden brown colour, transfer them onto a tissue paper.
  • Take one piece of the fried potato and press it gently by placing it under a cloth. Do the same procedure with rest of the fried potato pieces. Keep aside.
  • Heat the same oil on high heat. Put the flattened potato pieces in the hot oil and fry for a minute. This is done to make the potato pieces really crunchy. Once done, transfer onto a tissue paper.
  • Put the fried potato pieces in a bowl and pour Chat Ki Chutney on top of it. Mix well and add little bit of chat masala.
  • Serve it hot.
