Carrot cake


Carrot (grated) - 2 cups
Egg - 3nos
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Whole wheat flour (atta) - 3/4 cup
Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
Soda bicarbonate - 1/2 tsp
Cinnamon powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
salt - 1/4 tsp


1. Preheat oven to 180 degree celcius.
2. Break the eggs into a bowl, add sugar and beat with a hand blender till light and fluffy.
3. Sift whole wheat flour, cinnamon powder, salt, baking powder and baking soda into the bowl and mix well.
4. Add carrots and oil. Mix well.
5. Pour the batter into a cake tin. Bake it in the preheated oven for about 40 to 45 minutes.
6. Take the cake tin out of the oven and set aside to cool.
7. Once cooled, cut into pieces and serve.
8. This is a healthy cake, as we have used whole wheat flour instead of maida.
