Paneer Surprise


This is another tasty preparation with paneer. It is crispy and crunchy outside and soft from inside. It is very easy to prepare and can be served as a snack. It is rolled in bread crumbs to get the extra crispiness. Its a great snack to surprise your guests.

Ingredients


250 gms Paneer (cut into cubes)

For marination

1/2 tsp Cumin powder
1/2 tsp Coriander powder
3 tsp Red chilli powder
1 tsp Black pepper powder
2 tbsp Lime juice
Salt to taste

For cooking

Oil for deep frying
2 Eggs (whisked)
1/4 cup Maida/All purpose flour
1/4 cup Bread crumbs (finely powdered)
1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
Salt to taste



Method

  • In a bowl, add all the ingredients required for marination along with the paneer cubes. Mix well so that all the paneer cubes are nicely coated with the marination. Keep this in the fridge for maximum 2 hours.
  • Mix bread crumbs, red chilli powder and salt. Spread this on a plate.
  • Spread maida in another plate. Keep the whisked egg in a bowl.
  • Heat oil in a kadai. Dip each paneer cube in the whisked egg, then lightly in the maida flour and lastly coat it with the bread crumbs.
  • Fry each coated paneer in the hot oil till golden brown colour.
  • Once done, transfer them into a kitchen towel.
  • Serve it hot with any sauce of your choice.
