Caramel Halwa

Ingredients

Sooji (Semolina) - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 and 1/4 cup
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Raisins and Cashew nuts - 1/2 cup

Method

1. Soak Sooji in 2 cups of water for 1 hour.
2. In a kadai, put the ghee and when it is melted properly, add the sugar. Mix well.
3. When the sugar turns brown, add the soaked sooji little by little and mix well.
4. When the sooji and the sugar gets mixed properly, add the cashew nuts and raisins.
5. When the mixture starts separating from the sides, remove it to a dish to set.
6. After 20 minutes, cut the halwa and serve.
